Lessons Complete:
Habits are the foundation of your success, both in life, and in medicine. They are the things that you will do, without having to think about it, every day. Ultimately, you can choose your habits – like mastering material, making sure you never forget it, and learning how to apply it.
Use the daily minimums here to set goals for yourself to achieve. Using these minimums, you can develop three of the foundational habits for long-term mastery of the material most relevant for your Board examinations and clinical practice.

Hey Dr. Palmerton I am trying to figure out how many videos I need to watch per day/week and was wondering if you have a spreadsheet of all the videos and how long it will take in total. Thought I’d ask before I made my own.
I don’t have such a list, as we add to them every month. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hi Alec, I signed up for the basic plan. I only see the physiology videos uploaded of each system. I was wondering should I sign up for three month course to get access to all the videos? Could you please explain how this works and what you mean by more videos upload every month? I intend to take my exam in four months time, I would like to know if I have access to all the videos now or the videos are uploaded in a timely fashion as I said before I could only see physiology videos. Thanks much for… Read more »
Hi Sangeetha – thanks for your message. You have full accesss to the course. Have you had a chance to watch some of the content videos? The videos aren’t just physiology – most cover both physiology and pathology together, along with vignettes to show you how to apply the concepts. This integrated approach allows you to cover the most ground in the shortest time, which is particularly important when you have a short timeframe. The videos are released usually within several days of each live session, which is recorded at the time for those who are unable to watch. Let… Read more »
I just signed up for the basic plan and I have a month-as of now-until my Step 1 exam. How do I incorporate all the videos and cards into this schedule. I guess I’m trying to figure out where to start and what realistic goals I should set.
Hi Ugonna – welcome to the Course and thanks so much for your question!! The question of “what should I do if I only have a few weeks/months before my test?” comes up a lot, and so I’ve written two sections in the FAQ. Please let me know if this addresses your question. Also I highly encourage you to come to the session this coming Tuesday as I will likely cover this exact issue, as well:
